Oakland Police Chief Endorses Kamala Harris for AG

December 28, 2009 – District Attorney Harris’ campaign released a press release that stated 27-year law enforcement veteran, Oakland Police Chief Anthony Batts has endorsed Kamala Harris for California Attorney General. Much thanks to Cecily Burt for the heads up!

Chief Batts stated, “As a career prosecutor Kamala Harris knows what it takes to fight crime and keep our streets safe, which is why I am personally supporting her candidacy”

Chief Anthony Batts joins many other California public safety officials in his endorsement including Los Angeles Police Chief Bill Bratton, San Francisco Police Chief George Gascón and San Francisco Sheriff Mike Hennessey. See the full list of endorsements.
